New camera!
Ahh! I’m so excited! I just ordered my first camera! From Adorama.com. Hoping it arrives some time next week. I’m getting a Canon s95 and I’ve heard great reviews about it. Can’t wait!!

People change. There’s this person and I used to admire her, and I still do…a little. But lately it’s been..different. She’s been acting strange. I know I’ve been a jerk recently but her, she’s becoming distant. Someone I don’t understand. All I ever hear her say is that she has to work, like she’s pointing out to everybody’s face that she has a job. When all you really needed to say was, “I can’t make it.” I can’t tell her about my problems anymore because I’m tired of her unbiased opinion. She is not the caring person I once knew. I thought she had a good head on her shoulders but I find myself second guessing that. It used to be fun, and now, I’m not too sure what is going on. I feel like she is trying to be someone else and is becoming someone else. When she has become this new person, the question is, can I and will I still call her my friend?
Black light party
Yesterday, me and some friends just hosted our first black light party (: Sober, of course. It was pretty good, definitely could’ve gone better but wasn’t too bad. I still had a lot of fun. We bought 48” black lights and strobes. Decorated the place with florescent dot stickers and neon streamers. Gave everybody glow sticks! Loud music. Pretty awesome.
Now we’ll have a better idea on what to do for our next black light party (:
Woo!! It is 2:30AM and I have been painting straight(!) since 8PM. I am about 4/5 done with my second ~12”x12” birdcage piece and it is looking pretty spiffy! And trippy. (: I can’t believe I really stayed up to paint but wow, that was satisfying. I better sleep since I’ve got a lovely day tomorrow and fun plans!
Birdcages
My friends are probably tired of hearing me say “Painting..” when they ask me what I’ve been up to. It is the truth however. Painting has taken up quite a large portion of my activities. Since taking that painting class, it has pushed my creativity levels up high! It’s been a lot of hard work, but also amazing at the same time. Painting is expensive though..enough said. Definitely a good experience! (Sigh..pros and cons.) Like I’ve told a friend, it’s the essential part of art, besides drawing of course. Mad painting has ensued though! I’ve painted two 18”x22” pieces, three 12”x18” pieces, and now onto my six ~12”x12” pieces. The subject of these last six pieces will be: birdcages. One of my favorite things. I’m excited but I’ve got to finish these quick to get my grade!! Stay tune! (:
In need of new camera.
I’ve been wanting a new camera for so long, well ever since my last one broke. So after much talking with my camera-smarts-friend, Jay, I’ve decided on one. No I have not bought it yet, I’m still saving for it but hopefully I can get one when the new year starts! I have decided to go with a Canon s95. It’s the compact, shoot-and-go, very nice quality camera that I need right now. I don’t need anything too fancy anyways, just something nice to capture my memories. (:
Also! After having invested in a digital camera, I also want to invest in an instant film camera. They look like so much fun! A great way to capture moments and have them on film instantly! What I want is the FujiFilm Instax Mini 50s. It comes in that Piano Black color, but I hope they come out with a white one or something because I’m not too sure about that glossy color. Definitely want one though! Excited!
Tea Party?!
Just a crazy (but amazing) idea. Wouldn’t it be MAD (get it, mad? haha.) if I threw a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (get it now? I’m so punny..)?! Not only do I enjoy tea, but I love the whimsical-ness (hope that’s a word) of the Alice in Wonderland story. This would take a nice chunk out of my wallet but hopefully within a year or two of saving up I’ll be able to throw a legit Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. I’ve already got a crazy wish list set up. I still haven’t decide if I’m really gonna do it, but it’s such a wonderful idea! (:
